Professor Jonathan Morris AM is Director of the Kolling Institute of Medical Research at Royal North Shore Hospital. A graduate from the University of Edinburgh with a PhD from Oxford, Professor Morris completed his Obstetric and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialty training in Sydney. He took up the position of maternal fetal medicine specialist at Royal North Shore Hospital in 1998 and over the past 14 years he’s built a pregnancy research group that includes laboratory research, clinical trials and population health and health service research. Professor Morris is Associate Dean and Head of Northern Clinical School at the University of Sydney. He serves on the NHMRC Academy and leads a number of clinical studies aimed at preventing preterm birth and its complications.
Jonathan was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2013 for service to maternal and infant health as a clinician, educator, patient advocate and researcher.
