These school holidays imaginations will run wild with Bunk Puppets’ Sticks Stones Broken Bones at Monkey Baa Theatre Company, opening for the first time in Sydney at the Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre, from January 20th to 22nd.

Flying chickens, brain transplants and sneaky ninjas! Watch as everyday household items are magically transformed into amazing shadow puppets right before your eyes. A devised show (not written beforehand), the audience watches the action unfold in front of the screen, like watching a hilarious live cartoon.

Awarded Best Newcomer and Spirit of the Fringe at Edinburgh Fringe in 2010, and Best Puppet Show at Adelaide Fringe in 2011, Sticks Stones Broken Bones has enthralled children in more than 15 countries around the world with its enchanting re-imagining of the ancient craft of shadow puppetry.

Created and directed by Bunk Puppets’ Jeff Achtem and performed by Tim Sneddon, audiences both young and old will enjoy the silly stories and startling characters of Sticks Stones Broken Bones.

Recommended for ages five and over, join Bunk Puppets and Monkey Baa Theatre Company these school holidays as they serve up a visual feast for the imagination.

‘Pieces of junk, including foam, cardboard and fluff turn into a magical world of shadow puppets …. His imagination is glorious and his one man show has so many characters and interesting situations, you can’t help but be captivated.’
– The Adelaide Advertiser
