Giant interactive games are set to invade Chatswood Mall in North Sydney on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December in celebration of the home entertainment release of summer family blockbuster, Pixels.
Over the weekend, families are invited to go head-to-head in giant, life-sized versions of classic family games. Skill, strategy and a sharp eye are needed in the giant version of classic table-top contest Connect 4; the higher you reach the more unstable the tower and the bigger the fun in Jenga; form a line of X’s or O’s in Noughts and Crosses, resized to epic proportions; and roll giant inflatable dice to avoid the snakes and climb the ladders in Snakes and Ladders.
For fans of classic arcade, there will be a video arcade machine with 48 vintage games, including the rapid fire Space Invaders, Galaga, Galactica, Pacman, Frogger, Donkey Kong and more.
Scores will be collated on Sunday afternoon and the player with the Pacman high score will win a Sony tablet. Crowds are also encouraged to take snaps using #PixelsArcade for the chance to win Pixels DVDs and merchandise.
