Woolworths says customers will save more than $1.2 million every week in their normal shop as it slashes the price of many of the most popular fresh food and big brand products.
In a drive to deliver more savings to customers, the price of more than 60 of the most popular products across the store have been cut by almost 33%, including Australian beef mince, fresh baked bread rolls, Macro Australian free range chicken breasts and thighs, Coca-Cola products, Bertolli pasta sauces and Paul Newman’s salad dressings.
“It’s no secret that Aussie families are more concerned than ever about managing their bills and the rising cost of living”, says Tjeerd Jegen, Managing Director of Woolworths Supermarkets.
“Our customers have given us one clear task – to deliver unbeatable value for money every day.”
“Our latest range of Every Day Value price cuts offer the cheapest prices on some of most popular products in our store. In fact, our Aussie beef mince, fresh bread rolls, Macro chicken breasts and thighs all appear in our Top Ten Most Shopped lists.”
Last year, Woolworths sold about 355 million bread rolls - that’s 15.5 rolls for every man, woman and child in Australia.
By reducing the price of 6‐packs of fresh baked bread rolls in store by more than 25%, Woolworths customers will be getting unbeatable value on one of the most popular products in the store.
“Looking at an average basket, these latest Every Day Value price cuts will save our customers hundreds of dollars per year on the most popular products on their shopping lists,” concluded Jegen.
