The silly season is among us and the Preston Market is getting into the Christmas spirit with a range of festive fun.
Kicking off all the cheer is the Awkward Portraits photo booth which will be popping up at the Market from 11am – 3pm on Thursday 12 December. Marketgoers can take their pick from a range of ugly sweaters and Christmas props to get the ultimate awkward Christmas portrait (for free!). Bring friends or awkwardly stand-alone – marketgoers will be in for a lot of laughs.
There’s nothing like the sound of Christmas. Shoppers will enjoy classic Christmas hymns as Darebin Council invites carollers to perform at the Market on 14 – 15 December and 21 – 22 December.
And be sure to bring the kids as there will be plenty of Christmas themed activities happening throughout the month including:
• Christmas Bauble Decorating and Christmas card Marking:
o 15 December from 11am – 2pm
• Gingerbread Man Decorating & Christmas Card Making:
o 8 December & 22 December from 11am - 2pm
They can also catch Santa at the Market from 19 December – 24 December as he roams around spreading the Christmas cheer from 10am – 1pm.
This Christmas season there’s plenty happening at the Preston Market. While shoppers pick up their Christmas needs from seafood to bon bons, they will get among the Christmas cheer and festive spirit!
