It's the age-old question (no pun intended), but what is the 'perfect age'?
Circumstances change but a recent international Harris Poll of more than 4,200 adults shows that while, ten years ago, the perfect was 41 - it's now 50. Could that be anything to do with the fact that the largest single demographic group in the western world - the baby boomers - are now smack-bang in their 50s!?
This infograph also shows that the younger people are, the more likely they are to think an older age is the perfect one. The exception, of course, are baby boomers who think they're more or less perfect just as they are: 55 years.
And while 28 years is seen as the perfect time to have a first child, most people seem to want to kick that child out of the house early because they also say the ideal time to become an empty-nester is 45 years. If they don't have their first baby until 28, that means the baby is 17 when mum and dad are ready to be alone again!
