Students have been invited to be involved in a special broadcasting event courtesy of The Science Exchange in Adelaide with a one-hour live web broadcast conducted by Professor Brian Cox.
The broadcast, on Making sense of the Cosmos, is a special, student-only live web broadcast which gives students the ability to pick the brain of Professor Brian Cox. Teachers who pre-register their class will be sent a special log-in code to access the broadcast.
Brian Cox OBE is a British particle physicist and Royal Society University Research Fellow who is a former rock musician turned rock star scientist. He was the front man for the band D:Ream in the 1990s but gave it up to pursue a dream career in science.
Professor Cox now works at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Switzerland and is Professor of Physics at the University of Manchester. He is also the presenter of a number of television programs made for the BBC and shown on Australia on the ABC.
