Acknowledging motherhood:

When the Mum of the house leaves the home to take a well deserved holiday or has to travel for work commitments, she leaves other family members in charge of the house. The first few days may be exciting, consisting of pizza and fries, as well as unlimited ice-cream before dinner! But this soon wears thin when things start to quickly fall apart: the laundry is piling up, the kids don’t have clean uniforms for school, nobody has bothered to empty the dishwasher and there’s crumbs all over the kitchen floor. Slowly family life starts to slide into chaos!

This might sound way too dramatic, but you have got to admit that having Mum take care of housework and cooking frees your time to focus on other tasks in life. As the days go by, it’s easier than you think to forget how much time your mum/significant other has put into handling all the tedious little tasks around the house. A mother’s work is truly never done, from general cleaning, cooking and even gardening, it’s no wonder Mum wonders about where the time has gone.
