When the Mum of the house leaves the home to take a well deserved holiday or has to travel for work commitments, she leaves other family members in charge of the house. The first few days may be exciting, consisting of pizza and fries, as well as unlimited ice-cream before dinner! But this soon wears thin when things start to quickly fall apart: the laundry is piling up, the kids don’t have clean uniforms for school, nobody has bothered to empty the dishwasher and there’s crumbs all over the kitchen floor. Slowly family life starts to slide into chaos!
This might sound way too dramatic, but you have got to admit that having Mum take care of housework and cooking frees your time to focus on other tasks in life. As the days go by, it’s easier than you think to forget how much time your mum/significant other has put into handling all the tedious little tasks around the house. A mother’s work is truly never done, from general cleaning, cooking and even gardening, it’s no wonder Mum wonders about where the time has gone.
“What do mums’ do all day?”
“My mum just stays at home and cleans?”
“My mum only knows how to nag.”
Do these words sound familiar? So, to recognise mums’ hard work around the house, Oneflare has put together a survey to acknowledge the number of hours Mum’s put into doing housework. Oneflare will announce the survey results on the Mothers’ day and shall shed some light on the perfect gift ideas to treat your Mum this Mothers’ day.
If you’re a Mum, we’d like to invite you to participate in this survey for a chance to win a gift card by telling our your story.
Give Mum a helping hand by taking over these easy household chores. These houseworks don’t take up much time and will certainly put a smile on her face.
