Our Monday highlight of 3 things to do this week.
It might be something for all of us; and it might be local; and it could be related to any of the subjects we write about on Motherpedia - money, education, health, fitness, food, beauty, pregnancy and, of course, kids.
Gelato World Tour
Eight cities on five continents have been selected to become gelato capitals: Rome, Valencia, Dubai, Shanghai, Austin, San Paulo, Berlin and Melbourne.
Up to sixteen gelato artisans will be selected for each stage and they will compete with their best flavours, combining tradition and innovation.
Visitors to the Gelato World Tour will participate in short lessons on the art of gelato taught by instructors from Carpigiani Gelato University. They will also see gelato being produced right in front of their eyes with an opportunity to sample it.
Other activities include meetings on gelato trends, gastronomic workshops and skilled challenges between professional gelato artisans.
The event is held at Argyle Square, Carlton and runs from October 25-27.
