Every Monday, we feature 3 things to do during the coming week. It might be something for all of us; and it might be local; and it could be related to any of the subjects we write about on Motherpedia - money, education, health, fitness, food, beauty and, of course, kids.
1. Organise your family pics
Sit down with the kids and put together a collage or album of all your family photos from 2013! With many photos taken on phones and other devices, we have a lot more images capturing the moment, but often they can sit on the devices without being shared with loved ones. With school holidays on, it’s a great time to 'sync' all devices as a family and download the pics for printing, collages or perhaps a memento photo book in the lead up to Christmas, while reminiscing with the kids on the year to date.
There are great apps and programmes to help you put them together! Here are a few:

2. Organise a fundraiser for National Carers Week
Carers Week is just around the corner - October 13-19. Carers do a fabulous job providing unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue or who are frail.
Organise to take a break for carers by inviting the friends over for a morning tea or afternoon tea and help show your support for the great work Australian carers do.

3. Check out the fun kids activities on offer at your YMCA
YMCA provides high quality, fun Vacation Care for children aged 5 - 12 years. YMCA programs incorporate exciting activities as well as emphasising healthy living and promoting strong values in children. Your child will love the opportunity to make new friends while learning new skills in a fun, safe environment.
Activities include: sports clinics, excursions, drama, arts, cooking, leadership skills and technology days. As one of the largest providers of Vacation Care, there is a centre near you.
