The world's first pair of million dollars shoes sparkles with 11,000 tiny diamonds of varying carats, all tenderly and meticulously placed by the team at Crystal Heels.
The diamonds completely cover the open-toed shoes for a seamless, shimmering appearance, pushing accessory glamour to new heights according to its creator, Giuseppe Zanotti.
"Without a doubt, the diamond shoes are fit for a queen," comments Crystal Heels' founder Evelyn Fox, a former fashion model.
"While they're genuine, million-dollar diamond shoes, the quality in the application of the diamonds, as well as the fit, comfort and construction of these pumps are priceless. They're the perfect pair for royalty, an A-list actor, fashion icon or any other celebrity trend-setter."
Although the million dollar shoes are cost-prohibitive for the overwhelming majority of people, luxury shoppers are in luck. Ms Fox says she has a collection of similarly stunning Swarovski crystal heels in a number of styles, and custom shoes can be made to order. Prices start in the $500 range, with many of the shoes ranging in the low to mid-thousands.
"Despite a tough economy, the luxury consumer is alive and very well," Ms Fox concludes. "In fact, recent reports related to this demographic show that major luxury brands have been quite successful, particularly in the past six or so months. So when people ask me who's buying pricey, high-fashion shoes, I say, plenty."
