Is the future here? Not yet, but it certainly is coming fast. The kitchen, of course, won’t be left out. Many of us love to cook, and enjoy the process. We’ve compiled a list of 10 futurist kitchen appliances that are not quite with us yet – but are being developed right now. Take a look:
1. The Ultra-Fast Induction Stove Boiler
Ever needed to boil water and it felt like ages while waiting for it? In the future, people won’t know that feeling. This little induction stove boils the water in 10 seconds. Blink and it’s boiled.
2. The In-Sink Dishwasher.
Practical, huh? Yes it is. It’s all about less things that do more things. Can’t wait to get rid of the mammoth dishwasher and get one of these
3. The Maglev Cooker.
It sounds amazing. It looks amazing. It is amazing. This induction cooker uses magnetic energy to prepare your food. Looks like something out of a sci-fi movie!
4. The One-Size Fits Every Kitchen Stove.
It is predicted (and observed) that most of world’s population will live in cities in the future. Space will be an issue, and that is why an Italian designer made a portable, mini induction stove. No space? No problem.
5. The Intelligent Coffee Maker.
This insanely good looking device identifies your fingerprints in order to ‘remember’ how you like your coffee. We need this now, please.
6. The Stackable Fridge.
We’re not sure this is an idea for everyone – but it will find a certain clientele. Is there’s a celiac in your family, you’ll understand.
7. The Bio Robot Refrigerator.
OK, perhaps it’s a bit far-fetched and certainly looks a bit odd. The green thing you see is a gel that ‘traps’ and conserves whatever food you put in it, keeping it fresh. Weird, but interesting.
8. The Smart Spoon.
That’s right. Even the oldest, most ubiquitous utensils are being overhauled. This spoon-like instrument tells you what your food lacks to be perfect. Lovely, ha?
9. The Instant Sanitizing Kitchen Wand.
If it’s a wand, it has to provide some magic. This one does. Cleans up surfaces without even touching them.
10. The Cutting Board / Kitchen Scale Hybrid.
Apretty good idea, even for those who trust their intuition when it comes to cooking. Having one won’t hurt, right?
