I recently purchased ‘the smart’ temp’ 6-litre Breville slow cooker after needing to upgrade from my George Foreman, as I needed more space for larger meals to cater for my growing family and increasing number of friends coming over for meals.
I am a huge fan of slow cooking, as I love to be able to prepare food in the morning, go about my busy day and return to a house filled with the lovely aromas of dinner – particularly in the winter.
The Breville BSC420 6Litre Programmable Slow Cooker With Temperature IQ has taken my love for slow cooking to another level.
An excellent product with a huge amount of space, the digital timer gives you the ability to start at 6 hours and increase by 30 mins at a time to 10 hours. You can also adjust it to low, medium and high.
It also gives you greater clarity and control of the cooking process with a timer that counts down in minutes, and you can event switch it to ‘keep warm’ - so it’s not a problem when people are late or you get held up. It’s ready when you are.
The lid and casing does become hot so you do need to be weary of this with little people around the house and your own hands.
It’s perfect for lamb shanks, casseroles, stews, whole chicken dishes, soups, beef roasts, potato bakes, curries, creamy corn – the list is endless! Dishes taste delicious with minimal effort.
The ceramic bowl is easy to clean. It is even dishwasher safe, so you can pop it straight in when you’re finished. Making less time for cleaning and more time for enjoying the meal.
There are also health benefits with cooking meat on the bone providing our bodies with a rich source of collagen, gelatin, glucosaminoglycans and minerals, such as calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium and phosphate.
My family love it and I’m sure yours will too. It’s the perfect cooking device for the busy mum, who wants food cooked to perfection without stress, fuss or hassle.
I highly recommend 6 litre Breville and give it 5 stars. It’s one of those devices that really does make life easier and gives you a lot more control of 'witching hour'.
I picked mine up from Myer for $99.95, but you can also pick one up at Harvey Norman, David Jones, Bing Lee, Kmart and Target.
