It may be slightly out-of-season for the southern hemisphere but designer Ann Taylor's latest collection still fits the lifestyle of a busy woman and mum.
Ambassador for the US fashion brand, Kate Hudson, says the latest collection is her favourite so far.
"It's about the wild, wonderful life that women live. We're constantly striving for balance. We want to excel at our jobs, be there for our families and look and feel fabulous doing it."
So how does this translate into fashion exactly?
"It's about women who transition with style from one moment to the next in their busy lives," says Head of Design with Ann Taylor, Lisa Axelson. "They are authentic, inspiring and generous in everything they do.
"We know it's not just about style. It's also about lifestyle."
Ms Axelson says Kate Hudson approaches her life in the same way. "Kate has responsibilties that transcend the workplace. She gives her all every day and looks amazing every step of the way."
The collection features Hudson wearing stylish pieces in a variety of settings that we encounter day-to-day. In Hudson's case, that includes reading a film script, baking 'cookies' with her nephews, reading the paper, getting ready for a night out. (Some of us may have different experiences).
