News Limited papers report Pink was offered the job along with judges' spots on American Idol and the US version of The X Factor, but turned them all down because she didn't want to put her fans off with her honesty.
"People will hate you if you're honest," she told the papers.
"Simon Cowell is the only person who gets away with it because he has an accent. And he's a man."
The singer says she is planning another lengthy Australian tour in 2013, the first since the birth of her daughter Willow.
Pink's Funhouse tour in 2009 broke records across Australia.
Her new album, The Truth About Love, is due for release in September.
