As part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival at Sydney's Town Hall, Oroton's spring/summer show offered a polished, elegant theme in a colour palette of orange, blue, black and white with a South American undertone.
Model Samantha Harris looked stunning in a tangelo wrap-around mini skirt and a buttoned-up ivory shirt with a simple gold mesh collar - a look that links the new clothing line with the classic bags and accessories that the 74-year-old brand is known for.
Many pieces in the collection featured a strong blue or red rope print, which was used in timeless silk shorts, mini skirts and shirts - plus scarves and totes - perfect for a smart business look.
A fresh buttoned silk dress with flowing short sleeves and belted at the waist comes in black and orange, which, when teamed with Oroton's flat sandals, is great for the day, or with its black strappy high heels creates a dressier look.
Carrying large leather rucksacks and towels under their arms, models showed off Oroton's beachwear, which consisted off fresh, loose cotton tops and silk jackets.
For the evening, Oroton has stolen the sparkle from its mesh bags adapting it into silver sequin mini skirts, and a black and gold sequin dress - both teamed with a black mesh bag.
Oroton's creative director Ana-Maria Escobar told AAP: "Our apparel very much complements our handbags. Our handbags are the spirit of the brand and will always be there, but we just wanted to see the brand in a different light.
"Now the handbags will look even better," she said.
"Our clothing line epitomises what Oroton is about - quality, simple silhouettes, fabrics that are unique and natural. We've implemented the elements that have always been in our bags to apparel."
Stylish silk pants, which feature a slit down the sides, teamed with a matching shirt are fresh but elegant, so too is a sleeveless ivory summer dress that is belted at the waist and teamed with a mesh and snake skin bag.
Oroton has flagship stores around Australia and is in the major departments stores, but has also branched out to Asia with stores in Malaysia and Singapore.
