A delicious treat doesn't need complicated instructions and hours of prep time. Try this Banana Ricotta and Hazelnut Bruschetta - the whole family will surely love this!
Serves: 4
Prep and cook time: 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons hazelnuts (optional, adults)
- 4 slices crusty bread e.g. sourdough
- 4 tablespoons hazelnut spread
- 4 tablespoons ricotta cheese
- 2 bananas, thinly sliced
METHOD:
- Heat a small, dry, fry pan on medium heat and toast hazelnuts for 3-4 minutes, stirring regularly until fragrant (take care not to let them burn). Place nuts into a clean tea towel and rub to remove skins. Roughly chop.
- Lightly toast bread, spread with hazelnut spread, top with ricotta and sliced banana.
TO SERVE:
Divide bruschetta between plates and sprinkle with hazelnuts, if using.
