A new range of soups that sources produce from Australia's best growing regions have made their way to stores. Behind these scrumptious soups made from local-grown produce are six Aussie farmers who want to create support for local farmers.
Naked Locals offers six mouth-watering chilled packaged soups featuring 100% Australian grown vegetables from well-known growing areas around the country, including Gippsland (VIC), the Lockyer Valley (QLD) and the Forth Valley (TAS).
Nelson Cox, a fifth generation farmer from regional Gippsland in Victoria, supplies a bounty of vegetables for the Gippsland Hearty Vegetable Soup. He’s proud to see a product on the market that supports Aussie farmers, and responds to our changing tastes:
“Our family has been on the land for a long time, living on the same farm since the turn of the century. What began as a 100-acre property has now expanded to over 1,700 “It’s all about family at our farm. I work with my brother and our four sons; it’s in our blood to do what we do. It’s hard work but there’s nothing better than seeing beautiful, fresh veggies ready for picking and knowing families across the country will get to enjoy them.
“Looking back 20 years ago we only grew food for frozen processing but the way we’re eating has changed. People prefer fresh vegetables and there’s a huge groundswell of support for Aussies choosing to buy local. We make sure our vegetables are the best by using crop rotation, alternating different vegetables each season to keep the right nutrients in the soil. You can taste the difference."

“We worked really closely with our chefs to make delicious and healthy soups that proudly showcase great Aussie produce. We looked for some of the more famous growing regions in addition to some smaller ones we wanted to hero, as big or small, they all produce top quality veggies.
“The result is a tasty range of soups with flavours that speak directly to the Australian palate and helps consumers buy local. There’s not many products on the market that have the convenience, taste, great health star ratings and farm connection like Naked Locals soups has.”
