Every dad is unique. When Geoff Blackwell’s father turned 70, he decided he wanted to capture his dad’s life and memories into a special tailor made book.
“I decided to make him a book that combined our favourite photographs of moments shared together, and then each of us – right down to the youngest grandchild – wrote him a message telling him how much we love him,” says Geoff.
“It was a beautiful little book and giving it to him was one of the happiest moments of our lives.”
The experience made such an impact on Blackwell that he and his team of award-winning designers and editors have spent the last 18 months creating a state-of-the-art website that enables “ordinary people to tell their extraordinary stories”.
http://www.milkbooks.com is a website that allows you to use your creativity to compile a special photo or ‘memory’ book.
“MILK stands for Moments of Inspiration, Laughter and Kinship (M.I.L.K.) and we believe that the beauty lies in the emotion these books illicit,” said Blackwell.
“I think it’s just a really nice way for families to celebrate their uniqueness and Dad’s are often overlooked,” says Blackwell.
If you think Dad would enjoy the process of making his own book MILK Books is offering a Florence Broadhurst gift package that gives people the chance to gift not only the experience of creating a Bespoke or Bespoke Photo Book that can be bound in a Florence Broadhurst fabric cover, but also includes a limited edition, customised bookplate.
