Dina Lohan and her ex-husband Michael Lohan are among the names available to contact via Dial-A-Star.com, which charges US callers a minimum of $US50 ($A48.30) and between $US10 and $US25-a-minute to speak to the stars.
American talk show host Wendy Williams called the hotline to chat to Dina Lohan on Thursday morning and caught the Mean Girls actress' mum in the middle of household chores at her home in Long Island, New York.
And Dina admits she decided to make herself available to fans after seeing all the false reports about her and her daughter's lives.
She says, "It's really a cool concept. The guy is a genius who's doing it (sic)... They approached me a couple of days ago and I said it sounds like a really cool idea 'cause for me as a parent and being in the entertainment world for 30-odd years there are so many inaccuracies in the media and for me, if I can get people to call... you can reach out and tell the truth as to all the BS (bulls**t) out there about your life... That's why I personally did it."
What do you think of the quirky concept? Would you call to speak with stars?
