If you're in Sydney for the school holidays, you might want to check out the Sydney Children's Festival that runs from Tuesday 23rd September through to Sunday 28th.
For the first time, the Festival is on at the Seymour Centre at the University of Sydney offering diverse theatre spaces, studios and sunny courtyards to help give the range of arts on offer an immersive experience for children.
As welll as activities and attractions in the visual arts, workshops, magic shows, music and circus - including a silent disco! - there are three high quality theatre works on offer.
- Direct from New York, the cabaret forkids Still Awake Still! is funny, anarchic musical theatre that delights adults and children alike based on the book of the same name.
- KAPOW! sees three friends become everyday superheroes with acrobatics, clowning and circus.
- Brand new work Twinkle invites young people to be part of a performance that explores stars, galaxies and the world above through music, script and song.
