A 2013 mum has so many choices to ensure she’s keeping up with the top baby trends according to a leading US baby magazine, The Bump. In fact, there’s so many predictions of what will be hot, you can be sure that whatever you want to do will be trending – especially if you use social media to let everyone know! Here’s what to look out for.
Royal Baby
We all know who’s going to be ‘baby of the year’. It’s pretty difficult to ignore a Royal baby especially when the parents are the photogenic Gen Y’s, William and Kate. Being a mum is hard work and it lasts a lifetime. More and more mums-to-be are having a ‘mummymoon’ before the baby arrives. A lovely, relaxing holiday by the sea, at a spa, or an all girls weekend at home. It could be the last chance for some indulgent ‘me’ time before the happy event.
Neon nursery
Gone are the days of baby blue, pastel pink or languid lemon for the nursery. Give your baby a bit of colour with a touch of neon highlights.
No more baby showers after the first one
Really? Who needs a baby shower for the second or subsequent child? Instead, have a post-baby get-together. Invite your friends around to meet the new born over a BBQ or other general socialising, without putting an expectation on your friends for a baby present.
