Slip on your shiny shoes, turn on the spotlight and clear the dance floor! On September 2, the world’s most popular children’s group The Wiggles will release their danciest and fanciest album ever, “Dance, Dance!”.
“Dance, Dance!” brings so many dance styles and cultures into the one album - giving wiggly fans a taste of what they’ll hear at the Dance, Dance! The Wiggles Big Show end of year arena spectacular.
With Irish and Scottish dancing as well as ballet, jazz and tap, the musical journey travels from Ireland to the Scottish Highlands, to the U.S.A, then back home to Australia’s beautiful Tasmania and majestic Alice Springs.
“Dance, Dance!” truly introduces young audiences to the beauty of dance from all over the world. Highlights
include:
- Dressed in a Scottish kilt, Yellow Wiggle Emma embraces the Celtic culture, performing Highland dancing and singing along to tunes that will be sure to get little feet moving, plus some Wiggly iridescent Irish dancing with St Patricks Day will be sure to get kids busting out their best Irish jig!
- Fun fact: Blue Wiggle Anthony was a bagpipe player in the Australian Army Pipes & Drums, in the 1980's and has kept his love for this ancient instrument over many decades (he even played the bagpipes at Emma & Lachy’s wedding!) Hear him beautifully accompany The Road to the Isles.
- Experience the U.S.A culture as children dance and sing along to songs like Tapping On The Sidewalks of New York and A Taste of Joplin.
- Join the Wiggly Party in Australia, from the ancient surrounds of Alice Springs where The Wiggles perform Do the Propeller! And Pacific Island culture with Hula, Hula Baby, then over to Tasmania for A Frog Went a Walking On a Summer’s Day. Children are encouraged to do their spookiest tap dancing to Do the Skeleton Skat! and sing and dance to Wiggletto and Little Dingo.
Whether you're doing an Irish jig, a Highland fling, a 1960’s style to The Shimmie Shake! or a terrific tap-dance, with “Dance Dance!” you’ll simply want to dance and sing along with Anthony, Emma, Lachy and Simon.
And in November, The Wiggles will commence their brand new
Dance, Dance! The Wiggles Big Show Concert Tour, touring entertainment centres and arenas across Australia performing hits from the
