At this year’s event Murray, Jeff and Greg will officially hand over their coloured skivvies to the new generation of Wiggles and say their final farewells to Australian audiences
“Woolworths Carols in the Domain has always been a special event for us, which is why we will be using this year’s performance to introduce Australia to the new members of The Wiggles and to say goodbye to our wonderful fans,” said Murray.
“We are really looking forward to performing for the last time and sharing this moment with families across Australia,” he added.
“The event is really close to our hearts and we have loved being part of this wonderful Christmas tradition for almost 20 years,” explained Jeff.
“We hope that the new Wiggles will continue this tradition for years to come - everyone can use a bit of wiggly cheer during Christmastime,” he continued.
Jeff, Murray and Greg all plan to take on backstage creative roles, while Anthony will continue on stage as the Blue Wiggle alongside Emma Watkins, Lachlan Gillespie and Simon Pryce, who have been handpicked by the group to become the new Yellow, Purple and Red Wiggles.
“We are excited to officially introduce Australia to our new Wiggles and have a very special performance planned,” said Anthony.
Woolworths Carols in the Domain children’s line up also includes Georgie Parker, Jay Laga’aia and an Ice Age 4 spectacular.
The event will be hosted by Matt White and Natalie Barr and broadcast live on the Seven Network from 8:30pm.
