You won't be surprised to read that I love football! It almost goes without saying.
But it doesn't matter if you're female or male, young or old, rich or poor; and it doesn't matter what your colour, background or ethnicity is - on the pitch we're all the same.
My view is that's why so many kids and their mums and dads not only love to play the game themselves, but also support it. Football has the magical power to remove all boundaries and that's just what a cause which is dear to my heart - Football United - is all about.
Football United is a not-for-profit organisation that helps refugees and migrants of all ages, as well as underprivileged and Indigenous Australian kids, through the game of football.
Since its creation in 2006, Football United has helped thousands of disadvantaged children and families become part of our society, by building their self-esteem, developing confidence, meeting new friends and, of course, getting fit and healthy in the process.
It is entirely funded by donations and so, to continue this amazing work, we need help.
And we're asking for it a really fun way. Playing 'Keep-Ups'!
Anyone who's ever played football - and even those who haven't - love to just hang around with a ball and play 'keep-ups' so with the help of Ben Akers from the Republic of Everyone we've come up with the 1 Million Keep-Ups campaign.
The idea is you test yourself against your own personal record, and against your friends, to see how many keep-ups you can do and then donate $1 for each one.
It's fun. You can keep improving and raise more money. It doesn't matter if it's 1, 5, 25, 99 - or 500 like me. Every single dollar helps.
Money raised goes towards buying boots, kit and balls, as well as to fund coaches, programs and transport.
And with programs to help social inclusion, racial harmony and even teaching English, Football United proves that there is far more to the beautiful game than just kicking a ball around.
So get on to it this weekend. Or the next, or the next. We're hoping to reach 1 Million Keep-Ups.
Together we can help unite all football lovers and make a difference to people’s lives.
