The bean beds have been fluffed, the lawns have been manicured and the silver screens are sparkling. Moonlight Cinema is back and there’s a whole lot of cinematic goodness for you, the kids and even the family pet to enjoy this holiday season.
As the days get longer and things start to wind down in the office, head to Moonlight to catch the summer’s hottest new flicks. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling team up in La La Land, this musical comedy-drama has twirls, flips and a whimsical musical score. Next up, a World War II assassination mission quickly turns into a love story in Allied. Mariona Cotillard and Brad Pitt both star in this thriller filled with spies, double crosses and dirty tricks.
Assassin’s Creed, one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of 2016, sees our favourite video game brought to life at Moonlight. This tale of assassins and Templars is an action packed rollercoaster, only to be enjoyed under the stars on a big screen. Another offering is Passengers, a sci-fi thriller starring Chris Pratt and Hollywood hot property Jennifer Lawrence in a futuristic tale of human hibernation and what happens when you wake up too soon.
December has the kids sorted with Disney’s latest epic animation Moana. Demigod Maui, voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and the young Moana go on one of the Pacific Ocean’s greatest adventures, while critters hit the high notes in Sing, a family friendly animated giggle-fest that has hedgehogs, pigs and the occasional snail thinking they have the X Factor. With the all new Family Pass for G and PG rated films, a family of four can enjoy a quality night out together at Moonlight for just $50.
Although every night is furry friendly at Moonlight in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, the team have programmed in special films that you and the pup can both enjoy equally. Ever wondered what they do when you’re gone?
The Secret Life of Pets screens Friday 09 December and kicks off the Doggie Night season. And later in December catch an advanced screening of RED DOG: True Blue. This prequel takes us back to when Red was once known as Blue and is a tail wagging tear jerker that will have you hugging your best pooch pal the entire way home. So whether it’s a treasured terrier or a lovable labradoodle - come one, come all.
Moonlight is a BYO friendly event*, but if a night of indulgence is what you’re after, be our guest, Moonlight’s famous LA style food truck and licensed bar, will be serving up the tastiest of treats.
