With many school systems back on deck this week, we look at what's on to help entertain the little ones.
1. Breakfast with the Koala’s, Phillip Island - Monday to Friday
Eat poo?!
YUCK you might say! Lucky it’s not on the menu but for joeys, eating 'pap' (the special poo their mothers produce) is an essential part of establishing the bacteria in their gut to digest eucalyptus leaves.
Visit the Koala Conservation Centre before opening and enjoy a wholesome BBQ breakfast on the verandah daily!
Once breakfast is done join rangers on their daily duties spotting the koalas while learning more about this iconic Australian animal.
Will you give it Two thumbs?!
Sounds strange! But for koalas, having two thumbs means they have great strength in their hands to climb high into tree tops and grasp branches to get to leaves.

2. The Cat in the Hat, Perth – Tuesday & Wednesday
Based on the all-time favourite book by Dr Seuss, The Cat in the Hat is now a magically witty play for children produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain. Wonderfully anarchic, and with its unique combination of hilarious stories and riotous rhymes, this production, starring an all Australian cast, will transport audiences young and old into the world they’ve always imagined.
If you have ever read Dr. Seuss, you will love this production of The Cat in the Hat. Every Dr Seuss story is a lesson in grammar, syntax, phonics, morality, ethics, tolerance and the human spirit.
Suitable for ages 3+.

3. This (Baby) Week, Adelaide – Tuesday to Friday
Celebrate with your baby as they enjoy the ground breaking show, This (Baby) Life, created especially for them.
This beautiful production explores the moment-by-moment fascination of being a baby. Developed through extensive research into ways in which babies and their adults tune into one another, this gentle piece is the first of its kind for audiences in this age group.
At times, the performance becomes a special space where babies and performers together create something spontaneous and uniquely original. As they observe each other dancing, creating sounds and images together, the babies become comfortable and are encouraged to voyage bravely out to meet the performers with their own sounds and movements.
Suitable for ages 4-18 months, cost $15.
After Adelaide, the show heads to off-Broadway in New York.
